What’s So Great About Curiosity?
Control isn’t always about power.
Sometimes it is about safety.
When the past has been difficult or unpredictable, not knowing what will happen can feel unbearable. The mind tries to get ahead of life—to anticipate every possibility, manage every outcome, and find certainty before taking the next step.
Control is often an attempt to protect against the unknown.
But curiosity offers another way.
Curiosity doesn’t require pretending that everything will be fine. It simply loosens the grip enough to wonder:
What might happen next?
What haven’t I noticed yet?
What if I don’t need to know the ending right now?
Control tries to manage the whole road.
Curiosity keeps one foot in the present.
And maybe the unknown is not only where difficult things happen. It is also where help arrives, new possibilities appear, and different endings become possible.
Curiosity doesn’t ask for trust in the entire future.
Only a willingness to meet the next moment without deciding it in advance.
