Life Is Revealed in Sections
Life can’t show the whole picture at once.
Most of the time, we are only given the section we are standing in. The next conversation. The next decision. The next step down the path. We don’t get to know for sure.
It can be frustrating. Certainty feels like safety. We want to know where we are going and how everything will turn out, in order to relax and feel okay.
But the most meaningful parts of life are not revealed all at once.
They unfolded gradually.
A chance meeting. A random idea. A change in direction. A new understanding.
Each section makes sense only after the next one appeared.
The entire map is not necessary to be okay, because we will never have it.
We only need enough light to see the next few steps, and learn to soothe the fear of not getting to know for certain.
For now, this section is enough.
The rest will reveal itself in time.
This is part of living mindfully, not too much in the past or the future. Just the section that’s happening right now.
